Wisconsin Naval Militia 1939 Youth Tee
Well, lemme tell ya 'bout da Wisconsin Naval Militia. They's were an auxiliary to da big ol' US Navy, dontcha know. Back inna day, dey had 'em stationed near Ashland in Chequamegon Bay, patrolling Lake Superior. Da Navy gave 'em all da fixin's - uniforms, guns, ships, ya name it. But when World War I hit, dey had to disband, and most of 'em joined up with da US Navy proper. Fast forward a bit, and dey got reorganized in 1927 in Milwaukee and Madison. Dey even thought 'bout buildin' an armory at Summerfest grounds in Milwaukee. How bout dat?
